This is a recent custom bedding project that we just completed created and designed by Joyce Nowak
. The beautiful quilted coverlet was made with an original Waverly pattern that Duralee Fabrics had purchased. The customer loved the retro vibe of this cheerful bright pattern with vivid pinks and greens. She loves Buffalo Plaids so we found one in green to co- ordinate with the greens in the coverlet. We used the plaid for the gathered dust ruffle. We carried the fabric of the coverlet and the quilt pattern into the shams trimming them with the Buffalo plaid in the ruffle. The neck roll pillow was added in a small diamond tone on tone pattern again is the Green. The coordinating fabric are from Robert Allen and called Checkered Out in color Spring Green and Many Diamonds also in color Spring Green. The Duralee fabric is pattern 42426 color Rose/ Green.
We made coordinating scalloped valances for the windows which were done in the same fabric as the coverlet. We installed the valances on the customer’s existing 1 3/8” wood poles. It all came together beautifully in the way the customer wanted. It was her vision which we helped to make happen.
