Education – Graduate of Montour High School and some college classes at CCAC
Background – I was in Seattle, WA when the opportunity to return to Pittsburgh and join my grandfather’s business became available. The plan was to open a drapery workroom and I would be the supervisor. I did my training at a small drapery workroom, then we laid out our workroom, purchased state-of-the-art equipment and hired the seamstresses.
I oversee a dedicated and talented group of seamstresses who create lovely soft window treatments every day. I enjoy seeing the designer’s or owner’s ideas for their draperies, swag valances, cornices, comforters, throw pillows and more become a beautiful reality, and every item is hand-made with great attention to detail.
Today I am responsible for estimating all of the work that comes through our workroom and I help with generating design concepts for our client’s windows. The use of natural light has become a very important part of window treatments design.
